Doctor Avery has been caring for me since the early 1990's. He is my favorite doctor. I can talk to him about anything. He is the kind of man who takes his oath seriously. Compassionate and understanding, he's the kind of guy that goes home at night to research if an answer is not readily available or apparent. You are not just a name on a file. We as patients need to keep in mind, one can only be helped to the degree of our own level of honesty regarding all matters . Dr. "A" continues his education to keep up with the latest happenings in the medical community. I trust him with my life. Now if I would just take care of myself to the degree he has put forth to ensure my longevity, things will be good. He has a wonderful sense of humor too....Sometimes laughter is the best medicine. Thank you Dr A and Staff for all you have done to help me and friends and family thru the years.
Dr Avery is very much an answer to my prayers. I have some very specific medical needs and Dr Avery has been very attentive and knowledgeable regarding those needs. He stays up to date on my chart and he helps me with issues that have made other Dr's just refer me out. Dr. Avery listens to my concerns. Works with my crazy schedule and has an incredible bed side manner. I am hoping he doesn't retire for a very long time! It has been my experience that it is hard to find a provider that is of the caliber that Dr Avery is! His staff (medical assistants) and front office secretary are the best I have ever had interaction with... I have been to IHC clinics before where I feel like a number and I am just part of an assembly line. EVERYONE that Dr Avery has on staff treats me like I am a member of their family (and not the red headed step-child family member). I will never go anywhere else for my care! Thank you Dr Avery for everything and thank you to ALL the staff that work with him. You truly make it a joy to come to the Dr.
Good luck if you need to get in touch with the doctor. He forgot to renew my prescription during a visit and they I tried to call. Closed one day, the next day I called and the phone recording told me they were closed even though it was during their listed business hours. Another time the pharmacy tried for 3 days to get the office to respond for a prescription question. I guess he is ok as a doctor, but not very convenient to deal with.
Dr. Avery is great! He takes the time to listen and help you.
Dr. Avery listens to my concerns carefully. He helped me figure out how to start feeling better when I had an abnormal problem. He's not prideful like some doctors because he didn't hesitate to refer me to a specialist when he thought I needed extra help. Because of his referral, I was able to get the help I needed for a specific chronic illness. He's very knowledgeable and compassionate.
